Declaration
of Intent by the Jungle Association of Autonomous Astronauts
The
aim of this declaration is to publicise to the world Jungle AAA's
intention to put the first DJ on the moon's surface within the 333
days which will follow after our Naked Launch on 17 Februari 2000.
We want to do this not only to proove that we are able to develop
an independent & low barrier space-exploration programme which isn't
tied up with political, military or commercial interests, but more
importantly because we believe that the moon, because of it's low-gravitationel
field, is more suitable for break-dancing, hacky-sacking & raving
than the earth. The biggest strengt of this project is it's neglect
of contemporary prejudice about the perfectness of the society we
live in. While consensus reality tells us that this world is the most
perfect of all possible worlds, (the) (Jungle) AAA pushes social fiction
into new realms: free associations of autonomous astronauts grasshopping
through the galaxy will set the standard for a new, unthought of future.
From
1972 onwards there have been no humans on the moon & the bourgeois
space agencies openly admit that they wouldn't be able to reach it
if they wanted to, even though the technological developments have
been enormous in this 30 years. Wubbo Ockels, up to this point the
only launched dutch-man, reasons that this loss is coming from the
lack of a broadly shared desire to fulfill such a big operation, a
desire which was there during the Apollo-missions. Chriet Titulaer,
a famous dutch TV-astronomer, on the other hand blames this to the
succes of the original missions, the lack of accidents didn't make
it spectacular enough to go on. Our only sane response to both of
them can be to tell them that they would be better off if they would
join us instead of maintaining their patience with dinosaurs like
NASA & ESA & their jurassic-machine-parc. What we all want is a space
exploration programma that materialises now what the bourgeois space
agencies only promise for a far far future: space travel for all.
As the apex in the process of retrieving conciousness about why the
powers that be keep us on the earth Jungle AAA organized The Naked
Launch: the frozen moment when everybody sees what's at the end of
every space shuttle: the moment we realize that the NASA, ESA & their
ilk are made out of earthbound liers, cheaters, losers & f*ckers.
There is no point in waiting for them because "we are left to our
own devices" as Pet Shop Boy AAA would say. Reasoning from all these
motivations we are currently further developing our sound-system-shuttle
the SS PhOTEK & in a not too distant future our psychoaudiology will
meet some dark side of the luna breakbeat extravaganza crushing the
American flag still present on moon. & that will be only the beginning
JUNGLE
